Meaning of the word
Bokeh or boke (Japanese, “blur, unclear”) is the blur effect that occurs when a picture is taken out of focus, such as the lens selected by the photographer, the aperture used by the photographer. Conscious use of blurred areas that are not clear in photography is not a new concept. However, the emergence of this word and the definition of it as a photographic technique goes back a decade. Bokeh’s determinant is primarily objective. As the bokeh of each lens is different, the selected aperture value and blur effect and degree may vary.
Bokeh is the show of light outside the sharpness point. We focus on the front and back of the region where we focus. With blur effect, sharpness is two different things; sharpness is the image that exists in the region with the sharpest, while bokehefect refers to the image outside the region with the sharpest.
By definition it refers to the nature of unclear areas of an image in a photograph and is mainly used for lenses. It is said that the lens produces good bokeh or does not produce as well as desired. Three characteristics of blur must be considered: size, shape and distribution of light over the entire area. Soft, circular, smooth surface, non-sharp edges, homogeneous brightness blur zones are considered “good fotoğraf in the photograph. Visual examples

The bright areas behind the subject and the objects in front of it play the most important role in the formation of bokeh. Lenses with a lens focal length greater than 50 mm and a large aperture are more suitable for creating bokeh. Teleobjects make blur easier because of their physical structure; because the depths of the net area are very narrow and more objects remain outside the plane of focus.
Since aesthetic values are not measurable, they are highly subjective in bokeh. There is a great distance between the couple holding hands and the opposite. Light sources on the opposite shore created bokeh spots in the setting sunlight. Sometimes only color and form studies can be done by using bokeh effect. Bokeh effect can also be obtained using programs such as Photoshop .

- Mount your camera on your tripod
